Limp Bizkit adalah sebuah grup musik beraliran rapcore rock dari Amerika Serikat. Bersama Korn, grup ini sering disebut sebagai band-band yang memperkenalkan genre musik baru nu metal. History - Early years

Berlawanan dengan apa yang populer dipercayai, Limp Bizkit bukanlah dinamakan dari permainan berkelompok limp biscuit. Mereka memberi nama itu setelah seorang teman bandnya menggambarkan otaknya setelah mabuk (high). Band ini terbentuk pada tahun 1994 oleh Durst, Rivers, Borland, dan Otto. Kemudian mereka berkelana mengadakan tur disekeliling kota kelahirannya yaitu Jacksonville, Florida. Pada waktu itu, mereka menjadi teman-teman grup musik rap House of Pain. Kemudian mereka dipertemukan dengan basis Korn, Reginald Arvizu, pada tahun 1995, di belakang panggung konser Korn. Pada tahun 1996 mereka mengeluarkan tiga demo rekaman berisikan lagu Pollution, Counterfeit, dan Sour dimana Fred Durst memberikannya pada Ross Robinson yang pada waktu itu bekerja dengan Korn.

Borland is well known for his bizarre stage appearance, and for his fondness of musical artists that differed greatly from the musical tastes of his bandmates in Limp Bizkit. Borland performed in Black Light Burns, in which he sang and wrote most of the music. As of 2009, Borland has rejoined Limp Bizkit.

Rivers musical career started fairly early on, with him playing the tuba in a band in Arlington Middle School. He got into music initially because of his cousin John Otto, who played jazz-style drums. He attended Bishop Kenny High School, and later The Douglas Anderson School Of The Arts. He actually played guitar before he played bass, but switched at the suggestion of his music teacher. His influences include bands such as Black Sabbath and Megadeth.
