Period of formation. In this period, they met each other, played and hung up together, fought each other, rehearsed a lot, and wrote their song.

2002-2004
In 2004, The S.I.G.I.T. signed to Spills Records and released their self titled debut mini album (EP) and performed many bar gigs and venue. Their first single, Soul Sister soon became a local radio hits in Bandung and Jakarta, made reputated on MTV Trax Magazine as "The Hottest Rock N Roll Band".

By contributing on movie soundtrack for Catatan Akhir Sekolah (CAS), their fanbase grow rapidly. Did I Ask Your Opinion, which appeared as OST on former movie, finally became their first single to be broadcasted on MTV-I.

After leaving Spills Records, they begun to spread their stage performance to bigger venue and region...

The Gazette (???? Gazetto) bermula pada awal tahun 2002, terdiri dari lima angota yang kesemuanya laki-laki, meski masih muda, mereka sudah cukup berpengalaman di dunia musik. Tiga dari personelnya telah bekerjasama di band-band lama (MaÂ’die Kusse dan Kar+te=zyAnose); dimana vokalisnya adalah Ruki, salah satu gitarisnya Uruha dan bassisnya Reita. Dua mantan member dari Artia melengkapi formasi awal ini; Aoi pada Gitar dan Yune pada drum. Setelah resmi bergabung di label Matina, mereka merilis single pertama, Wakaremichi, dan sebuah video dalam bentuk VHS pada bulan April, melalui berbagai acara dan perilisan omnibus dengan segera mengangkat nama mereka. Band ini pun sukses menggelar oneman pertama pada bulan Oktober di tahun itu. Pada akhir tahun mereka ikut ambil bagian di acara "FINAL PRELUDE 2002~2003 Matina PRESENTS" karena label Matina ini akan bubar.

Pada tahun 2003, Yune menggumumkan akan meninggalkan Gazette. Dia dengan segera digantikan oleh Kai (ex Mareydi†Creia) dan band ini lalu bergabung dengan label PS Company. Mereka ambil bagian di tur pertama bersama dengan rekannya dari band indie Hanamuke, dan merilis mini album pertama Cockyane Soup selanjutnya diikuti dengan perilisan dua mini album lainnya dua bulan sesudahnya. Pada sisa tahun, mereka melanjutkan dengan mengadakan tur Beauti-Fool's Fest 2003 bersama dengan artis lainnya seperti Merry dan D'espairsRay.

Gazette menggebrak tahun 2004 dengan mengadakan oneman di Shibuya AX (konser ini kemudian dirilis dalam bentuk DVD) dan saat itu juga mereka membuka fan club secara resmi. Mendekati akhir tahun, band ini merilis DVD live kedua dan kemudian mereka memberikan fans mereka apa yang telah dinantikan lebih dari dua tahun, yaitu album perdana mereka Disorder. Di bulan Desember, mereka ikut berpartisipasi di Beauti-Fool's Fest dan menggelar sebuah tur kecil.

Tahun 2005, Gazette nampaknya mengerahkan seluruh waktu mereka di bis tur atau di panggung karena hampir tiada hentinya mereka menggelar tur ke seluruh negeri. Beberapa item dirilis di antaranya tur dan photobook pertamanya "Verwelktes Gedicht", yang dijual di bulan September. Akhirnya mereka beristirahat singkat hingga bulan Desember yang dilanjutkan dengan keikutsertaannya pada acara "PEACE & SMILE CARNIVAL TOUR 2005" dengan memakai nama label dan merilis single Cassis yang menjadi single terakhir yang dirilis dibawah nama Gazette.

Tahun 2006 merupakan tahun yang sangat sibuk untuk Gazette. Mereka mengganti nama dari ‘Gazette’ yang ditulis dalam huruf Jepang, menjadi The GazettE, ditulis dalam bahasa Inggris, band ini menggebrak tahun itu dengan merilis sebuah album baru Nil. Mereka dengan segera melakukan tur besar-besaran, menjangkau seluruh Jepang dengan lebih dari tiga puluh pertunjukkan. Tur finalnya diadakan di Nippon Budokan, salah satu tempat penyelenggaraan terbesar di Jepang, dan habis terjual. Mereka juga mengadakan pertunjukkan Eropa pertamanya di Jerman pada akhir Juli, untuk menyenangkan fans internasional mereka. Kemudian masih di tahun itu, mereka membuka homepage resmi versi bahasa inggris pada bulan Oktober.

Mereka mengakhiri 2006 dan mengisi tahun 2007 dengan jadwal tur dan single-single baru sebelum mengumumkan perilisan album baru STACKED RUBBISH pada musim panas, dan penyelenggaran dua buah tur. Tur pertama akan dimulai pada awal Juni, yang diadakan dari musim panas hingga gugur, dan tur keduanya akan menutup bulan musim dingin. Untuk menyenangkan para fans internasional mereka, The GazettE memutuskan untuk kembali ke Eropa dengan mengadakan sebuah rangkaian tur kecil yang akan diadakan di Jerman, Perancis, Finlandia, dan Inggris pada bulan Oktober.

Biography

Quote: Band members Alex DeLeon and Cash Colligan first began playing music together at Liberty High School (Henderson, Nevada) and recorded demos as a duo which they put up on their MySpace page.[1] Also, Ian Crawford went to school in Auburn, WA and started out playing his guitar in the talent shows and getting them put on youtube. DeLeon asked drummer Alex Johnson, who was playing in a local hardcore band, to join The Cab. In late 2005, it became a full band with guitarist Paul Garcia, guitar/pianist Alex Marshall, and drummer Alex Johnson, playing its first show at The Alley in Las Vegas. The band signed to local label Olympus Records in January 2006[2] but released no material. They gave a demo to Spencer Smith of Panic! at the Disco at a Cobra Starship/Boys Like Girls/Cartel show, who helped them sign to Decaydance Records in May 2007.[3] Shortly after this, the band's members graduated from high school.[4] During this time they decided to replace Garcia with Ian Crawford, who moved from Washington to join the band.[5]

Blender named them #75 on their Top 100 Hot Report in September 2007, before they had actually released any official material.[6] The group has toured with Panic! at the Disco, We the Kings, Metro Station, Cobra Starship, There For Tomorrow, Charlotte Sometimes, Forever the Sickest Kids, Dashboard Confessional, Plain White Tees, The Hush Sound, and others. In February 2008, their touring van turned over in Wisconsin, but none of the members were seriously injured, and they only missed one tour date.[7] In March 2008, the band played SXSW.[8]

Their Matt Squire-produced first album, Whisper War, was released on April 29, 2008, featuring Brendon Urie of Panic! At The Disco and Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy on the first single from the CD "One of Those Nights," which was co-written by Stump.[9][10][11] The video for "One of Those Nights" features members of Panic! at the Disco and Pete Wentz and Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy. By February 15, 2008, the featured song from the album, "I'll Run", had over 300,000 hits on the band's MySpace page.[12] On October 30, their third single, "Bounce", was revealed in a new music video on the Fueled by Ramen page on Youtube. This song peaked at #69 on the Billboard Pop 100.[13]

On May 7, 2008, Whisper War entered the charts at #108 for its first week of sales[14] and was named the #1 Top Heatseeker by Billboard[15]

The Cab began the Dance Across the Country Tour with The Hush Sound, Steel Train and The Morning Light on July 7 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The "Why So Serious? Tour" began in September with support from This Providence, Hey Monday and A Rocket to the Moon. In October, they also joined Panic! At The Disco, Dashboard Confessional, and the Plain White T's on the Rock Band Live tour.

Their songs "Bounce" and "One of Those Nights" are featured as downloadable tracks in Rock Band 2, although "One of Those Nights" is an alternate version than that of the one on "Whisper War".

The Cab has appeared on Punk Goes Pop 2, covering Rihanna's "Disturbia." In February and March 2009 the band toured with We The Kings, There For Tomorrow and Versaemerge on the "Secret Valentine Tour". On May 1, 2009, the band performed an entire set dedicated to Queen.[16]

After a short break, they toured with We The Kings, Forever The Sickest Kids, Nevershoutnever! and Mercy Mercedes on the "Bamboozle Road Show Tour". Shortly thereafter, the band has officially announced their first national headlining tour, called "The What Happens In Vegas..." tour, with the support of The Secret Handshake, A Rocket to the Moon, Eye Alaska, Anarbor, The Summer Set, and My Favorite Highway. The tour began on June 18 and ended on August 9.

On June 1, 2009 lead singer Alex DeLeon announced on his blog [17] that guitarist Ian Crawford had decided to leave the band. Although there seemed to be no animosity between the band, DeLeon did say that Crawford had decided to leave due to creative differences. For their upcoming "What Happens in Vegas Tour", The Cab announced that their friend Bryan Dawson would be replacing Ian Crawford, who is now the touring guitarist of Panic! at the Disco.

On August 19, 2009, bassist Cash Colligan announced that he would be leaving the band.[18]The news of Colligan’s split first appeared on The Cab’s official MySpace blog. Colligan’s departure, like Crawford’s, seemed to be amicable as the band wrote, “We wish him the best and I'm sure he'll be no stranger at a Cab show or anytime we're back in town.” The same day Colligan posted his own explanation for leaving the band on his official MySpace blog. He wrote, “I’m proud as a founding member of this band to say the things I’ve done, the people I’ve met and the friends I’ve made. After five years it’s time for me to take a mental nap. Being home I can collect my thoughts and move forward.” Colligan went on to say that he would be settling down in Las Vegas and that now is just not the right time for him to be touring on the road.

In a blog Deleon posted after Cash decided to leave the band he said, "Thank you again to everyone for your unending support, you’ve made the tour and this summer one we’ll never forget. The Cab is currently in the writing and pre-production stage of their new album, doing so in both LA and NYC.

They announced they will be featured in the Alternative Press Tour 2010.

On January 16, 2010, Alex DeLeon announced via Twitter that "Bryan is going to be a father!". Bryan later confirmed, and confirmed his leave from the band, saying via his own Twitter that he "wanted to thank everyone for the support and love in this crazy time. Love you all now watch out the guys are gonna do great things, promise." A day later, Alex DeLeon announced that The Cab are looking for a new guitar player: "Anyone know any guitar players? serious submissions only. Here is your chance. We need someone who can really play. Big shoes to fill."

Texas in July is an American metalcore band from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The band formed in 2007 with members ranging in ages from 17 to 19. As of 2010 the drummer (Adam Gray), and vocalist (Alex Good) are still attending high school.


Texas in July was founded in 2007 in Ephrata, Pennsylvania. The band signed with CI Records in 2008 and released one EP and one full length album with the label. Texas in July are exceptionally popular in their hometown, routinely packing LancasterÂ’s 850+ capacity Chameleon Club. They have shared the stage with a large number of heavy metal bands, such as Every Time I Die, The Devil Wears Prada, Maylene and the Sons of Disaster, The Bled, and August Burns Red (with whom were also once on CI Records and share a similar style).[1] The band frequently tours nationally in support of these bands and has played at several festivals, including the Purple Door Festival. Their Salt of the Earth EP was released October 7th, 2008 and was produced by Carson Slovak of Century. Their debut album, I Am, was released via mail order July 2nd, 2009, then was later officially released on September 15th, 2009.
